Kindness & Anti Bullying (Nov/Dec)

We had a lot of celebrations recently! During Red Ribbon week 4&5th grade enjoyed a special visit from a local police officer and his K-9 partner (Kalypso). The whole school learned about drug and alcohol safety and awareness.

As we move toward Christmas the counseling department will begin an anti-bullying campaign that will focus on kindness. You may consider challenging your child to be a kindness ninja and giving them ninja missions to complete (or even complete kindness activities together as a family!). This website may give you some ideas: How to be a Kindness Ninja #WorldKindnessDay #KindnessNinja | Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles

Many of our families have suffered the loss of family members due to COVID19. If you would like your child to receive free counseling/therapy services please reach out to our department. We are working in connection with University Health and the city's Mental Health Services department to offer you access to psychologists and psychiatrists who specialize in grief. The holidays can be especially difficult times for these families. Even if you are not one who has lost loved ones, please keep your friends and neighbors in mind during the holidays.
